Who would you guys target in the 2nd to 4th to compliment the likely first rounders? I've built my teams around Dwight with a lot of success the last couple years, going after guys like Josh Smith in the second and Rondo in the third. I'm interested in seeing what people think about the other guys. Also, who would you avoid picking if you grabbed one of the guys below?

Durant -
Bron -
CP3 -
Wade -
Curry -
Rose -
Dirk -
Pau -
Dwight -
Love -

In general you must go PG-PF as two of your first three picks.

So I'd be looking at Rondo/Jefferson/Gasol/Love/Curry/D-Will/Horford/Nash/J-Smoove/Aldridge

The only SG/SFs I'd consider drafting early are Iggy/Pierce/Ginobili/K-Mart

Wade pairs well with a high volume rebounder/blocker, since he gives you abnormal production in those categories for a guard, making the big man's strengths even stronger. Think Howard, maybe even Bogut.

Dirk pairs best with a 3 point shooting, high FT% guard

I wouldn't avoid picking anyone based on who you got first. And vice versa. I just draft guys I like and avoid guys I don't, and how I determine who I like and not is largely based on how convenient it is to build a team around them. Because you don't want to get "good" value in the 1st-3rd rounds (where "good" value hardly exists; you don't win your leagues, on average, in the first three rounds); you want to get great value in the middle- to late rounds.

Which is why guys like Rose and Howard are never drafted by me, but that's, just like, my opinion, man.

BPA. The talent levels out a ton after the first 3 rounds. Get the best guys possible then build around that later.
