30 Team Simulation Keeper League - Looking for 6 GM's

Looking for 6 basketball enthusiasts to join a 30 team NBA keeper league. Think you're a hardcore hoops fan that can evaluate and project talent down to the 12th man sitting on the bench? Then this league is for you. See details below:

Premise

The league consists of all 30 NBA teams, each of which is run by an individual GM. The league is a simulation league where managers assemble rosters that compete against all of the other 29 NBA teams in a daily simulation. Full box scores are uploaded to a central website and vital stats such as league leaders, current standings and MVP races are kept track of on a daily basis.

Any active NBA player is in play and can be part of an existing roster or be available in the free agent pool for a team to sign throughout the year. Each player has a numeric cap level hit (1-5) and teams must manage and abide by a defined salary cap limit. GM's will build their franchises through yearly rookie drafts, free agency and trades. Each GM will assign a depth chart and player rotation to the league’s Commissioner, who will then simulate games in a head-to-head matchup for each night of the simulation schedule. A full NBA schedule is played, complete with an entire 7-game series playoff to determine an annual winner.

The six new GM's will create their teams from a list of players and 2011 rookie draft pick assets created from a pool of resources that belonged to the 5 vacant simulation teams. This includes players and rookie draft pick slots that feature Lebron James, Rudy Gay, Brook Lopez, Steve Nash, Rajon Rondo, Joakim Noah, Paul Pierce, #2 and #5 rookie draft slot and many more. Once the dispersal draft is complete, all teams will participate in the 2011 rookie draft where the likes of Kyrie Irving, Derrick Williams, and Jimmer Fredette will be selected in a standard draft and assigned to whichever teams selects them at their own discretion and draft slot. Trades can be made to move up, move down, or move out of the draft. Trust me. This is a ton of fun.

After that, the season starts (hopefully in time for Dec 25th) and each GM makes adjustments to their rotations and rosters to improve their team as much as possible. Just like the real NBA, there are a handful of teams that are in a current rebuilding phase and will make moves with the future in mind. Other teams will go all out and go for the championship and therefore, might break the bank for their shot at the title. Since this is a keeper league, every move you make has consequences for the immediate and extended future. Your job is to direct and build your team to whatever timeline or fashion that you see fit.

The league is run by an appointed commissioner and all communications are done through email or the league website. Participation levels can vary from simply checking and reading your emails every few days. If you're hardcore, you'll check the website everyday, engage in multiple trade talks and participate in general league and basketball discussions. It's up to you, and in the end, it's whatever you make of it.

The league is known as the DTNBA and has been in existence for over 10+ years. A handful of GM's have come and gone, but a strong core of 20 GM's have been around from the beginning to see their teams rise and fall. It's about as a unique and immersing fantasy basketball experience that one can participate and be a part of. There are still a few spots left for anybody that is still interested. The league is completely free to play and while we would like you to stick around and build your team to a championship, there is no obligation to stay. No harm in trying it out.
