Just a quick question.
I'm in a 12 teams, h2h, 9 cat, keeper league.
My league allows to keep two players only if I give up one round b4 the round I picked up the player on last year's draft. For example, if I picked player A at round 8 last year, then I have to give up round 7 on this year's draft.
I already decided to keep Gortat, but I'm not sure who to keep for the other spot.
I wonder if John Wall is worth giving up 3rd round (since I picked him at round 4 last yr), and if there is other player that I better keep.

Chuck Hayes(also picked up from waiver)
Andrew Bynum (picked him @ round 6 last yr)

If you are keeping Wall you better have a team designed to his strengths. FG%, Pts, and 3's should not be categories you expect to win if you are keeping him as one of your main pieces.

Without knowing exactly what the cats are, I would have to say you'd be crazy not to keep Bynum.

wall's worth 3rd round because he's going earlier than that (ADP: 17.2). That's without counting TOs, though, so drop him down a round (12 picks) and you're still looking at top 30 value.

As a keeper Wall is amazing. .5 blocks as a rookie? Amazing work ethic? Size and speed?

Starting next year he'll probably give you top 15 value, with upside for more. No brainer keeper.

To answer the Bynum question more effectively, how many keepers are your opponents keeping? If you don't know make an educated guess. In a redraft 5th round value isn't so hot but if the top 30 players are already off the table then 5th round for Bynum is great when he would otherwise be gone by the 2nd.

And I don't know how other league's keeper system works, but in my league, everyone can get at most 2 keepers for giving up 2 draft rounds. So I was thinkin if Wall's value is projected to have 2nd round value, then I would gain from keeping him, cuz I only have to give up round 3 on draft day.

24 players will be gone, so...

I have Bynum ranked 63rd, ahead of Bogut and Conley and behind Harden and G. Wallace.

That makes Wall elite and a must-keep. Bynum would be Top 40. 40 divided by 12 is 3.3, offering you about 20 picks worth of value.

Wall's a much better keeper. At the least he'll be easier to trade for an up-and-coming amazing keeper on a team that is in win-now mode.

two more years after this season. But then I will be giving up round 2 and 1 draft picks in subsequent years. And between Gortat and Bynum, who would you keep? I think Bynum has more upside, especially Odom is out of LA, but his health is a risk. Gortat, on the other hand, will probably produce around 15 pts,10 rbds and 1.5 blks (based on last yr), but I am not sure if he can produce more than that.

gortat by far. gortat is one of my favorite players. he doesnt foul, he's young, and the suns run.

giving up rounds 2 and 1 doesnt hurt toomuch because the best 20-24 players are presumably gonna be kept anyway. id def prefer to trade wall precisely FOR someone like gortat, which you prob can considering how hyped wall is. let him get off this season and then trade him.

bynum's upside is overrated because he hasn't proven he can stay healthy in even 30 mpg, nevertheless 33-35 mpg. i love bynum's talent but knee injuries don't go away.

depending on how humphries' situation checks out i may be inclined to keep him over bynum
