Depends on your definition of sleeper.

Boris Diaw: Classic example of jack-of-all-trades types being underrated; Top 75 value
Nicolas Batum: Trendy but for good reason; see above
Toney Douglas: Potential Top-50 value
Tony Allen: Ditto
Jason Terry: well-known but underrated, PG stats from SG position, particularly strong in TO leagues
Arron Afflalo: No idea why he's being slept on, his potential should be obvious
Marcus Thornton: self-explanatory?
Landry Fields: See Batum; Diaw
Ricky Rubio: great defender, passer, good spot-up shooter; up-tempo system; primary ball-handler I've gone full circle, from hating him to loving him
James Johnson: Will be a fantasy darling if his shooting improves; think he has Top-50 upside
Gordon Hayward: breakout potential on a team desperate for wing production
Budinger: PT, 3s, mid-teen points, on a fast-paced team
Maggette: a bit risky given his current ADP but high-teens points, elite FT% hard to find late
CJ Miles: contract year, still young, improved conditioning, PT for the taking
Gerald Henderson: really cheap for decent production, good bet for massive minutes
Jodie Meeks: 2+ 3pg if starting job sticks
Tyrus Thomas: will he ever stop fouling? bobcats desperate for frontcourt help
Bismack Biyombo: could be elite in blocks from the get-go if he can avoid foul trouble
Jared Dudley: run-of-the-mill athleticism caps upside but rugged defender, glue guy
Anderson Varejao: double-double potential, finally stopped fouling so much and is team's best defender so should see 30+ mpg
DeAndre Jordan: too trendy for my liking w/ Kaman still around but Chris Anderson-type
Jeff Teague:may not be cut out to start in the NBA but he gets a ton of steals and should see big minutes for at least the first month; could run with it if he shows improvement, still just 22

Can't take Rubio

1) His first season, he needa adapt

2) share minutes with Luke Ridnour and JJ Barea

3) He cannot SHOOT

he's a good spot-up shooter:

Rubio can knock down an open shot, hitting 40.5% of unguarded catch and shoot jumpers, but in just about any other situation, he struggles with his shot. When he is guarded, Rubio shoots just 18.5% and when he is shooting off of the dribble, he is shooting just 23.5%.

Rubio's been hitting his jumper in practice and scrimmage anyway.... get to see him in some pre season tomorrow, can't wait to see how he'll look.

Also I like Jack as well. I dropped Teague for him.

Still dont like Rubio. If he is playing for Don Nelson i like him but he's playing for Rick Adelman.

He wont have the ball in his hand and he can't shoot NBA 3. What is there to pick?

Jordan Hill is emerging as a viable fantasy player. Kevin Mchale loves him and singled him out as most impressive at camp. He's in a contract year and unless the Rockets sign Dalembert in the following days, he can pencil him at starting C for about 25-30mpg.

PER 36 minutes he put up some very good numbers. He can block some shot, rebound, score in the double digit on high FG%.

Do you guys think with the Crawford signing that Batum kinda becomes irrelevant now? I'm pondering if I should drop him for someone like Verajao.

I have one golden rule when it comes to fantasy basketball.

If the coach likes you, i like you.

Doesn't matter how much talent you have. Doesn't matter how fantasy friendly said player's game is. If the coach doesn't put a player in a position to succeed or doesn't give em playing time (T-will, Anthony Randolph) there won't be fantasy impact.

Mchale LOVES Jordan Hill. Thats enough for me. Whatever he does with that opportunity is up to him.

that's all fine and dandy,

but young big men are notorious for being foul-happy. an undersized big man in a fast-paced tempo who already fouled a lot... how is he going to stay on the court? coaches are notoriously cautious with foul trouble.

chances are dalembert's gonna sign there anyway. he's the real sleeper.

Jordan Hill has 6 fouls. He can play 25-30 minutes. He averaged 5fouls per 36 minutes. Thats not great but he's not exactly Amir Johnson(who averaged over 6 fouls per 36 minutes). Why do you care if he fouls out in the 27th minutes. Mchale will play him as many minutes as he can handle. For a guy thats not expected to be drafted in a standard Fantasy draft(that was before the preseason game where he had 17/13), Jordan Hill represents tremendous value. His game is fantasy friendly.

But obviously if they sign Dalembert, its all moot. Hoever I dont expect the Rockets to sign him though.

because if he's not getting 30mpg he's not going to be productive enough to quality as a sleeper in all but the deepest of leagues

sleeper is really a proxy for upside. hill has none of it

And yet you think Rubio will get 30mpg coming off the bench in a 3PG rotation in Minnesota playing under a coach notorious for being strict with rookies? :o
