Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
Steve Nash is struggling in the worst way. I haven't seen any Suns games but all I know is he is killing me a few games in.
Will this be a trend all season? Or will he get back to putting up 10+ APG?

His first game was really solid. The second was a mess, but the Suns offense looks like a mess in general right now. They'll figure it out soon enough. The assists will be there for sure.

Re: Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
DUMP HIM!
Look at his post all-star stats from last year:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/310 ... e=Fielding
Nash isn't an elite fantasy player anymore but people keep drafting him as if he is one. It also doesn't help that his supporting cast continues to get worse...
Nash will likely average around 9-10 apg this year but he's not really going to help you anywhere else... I also feel pretty confident in saying that he will sit out games as the season progresses.
Your best bet right now is to wait for Nash to have a good / monster game and thn immediately look to trade him after.
(Also of note: The Suns have a pretty tough schedule for the next month)

^ You realise averaging that many assists is like, huge right? If he has that many assist every night he can single handedly fuel your team in that department lol. Add in elite FT%, and yeah, Nash is worth hanging on to.

Nash's impact on FT% is vastly overstated he's not a volume FT shooter so on his pretty FT% doesn't give you a huge boost in overall FT% on a weekly basis. Also unlike in years past the Suns are not going to be in a position where the other team is fouling them at the end of the fourth quarters to try and prolong the game, which coupled with the fact that Nash's minutes will have to be regulated as the season progresses means Nash's FTA are going to go down this year...
---
You make a point with assists, but assuming the OP doesn't have any other major assist generators you're probably better off selling high on Nash's name value and trading him + spare parts for someone who helps you in other categories + a perennially undervalued point guard such as Jose Calderon.

1. Lebron James, SF/PF
29. Steve Nash, PG
43. Raymond Felton, PG/SG
71. Mike Conley, PG
84. Tony Parker, PG
These are pretty much my assist-getters. I think I'll wait a little longer and give it the eye test. If I don't like it long term then I'll wait for a good showing and trade him. Agree that Calderon is a good place to look.

What's your entire team looking like? And how many teams are in the league?

7 team Roto 9cat (12 man roster)
1. Lebron James, SF/PF
14. LaMarcus Aldridge, PF/C
15. Al Horford, PF/C
28. Serge Ibaka, PF/C (Traded with Tony Parker for Pau Gasol and Channing Frye
)
29. Steve Nash, PG
42. *Brook Lopez, C (dropped; picked up Diaw)
43. Raymond Felton, PG/SG
56. Greg Monroe, C
57. Kyle Lowry, PG
70. Andrew Bogut, C
71. Mike Conley, PG
84. Tony Parker, PG (see Ibaka)
I'm dead last in 3pt shooting with a total of 7.

Oh damn I was thinking H2H the whole time... :-/
Overall your team looks pretty good maybe waiting on Nash is your best move
I'd still be looking to move him long-term for some of the reasons I stated above but in a league that shallow I can't think of many 1-for-1 trades that would make sense for you.

Re: Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
I have him on my team too. I thought getting him in the 6th round was a steal for me, but he's killing me with his inconsistency. I expect him to put up decent assist numbers, but I'm not sure if that condensed schedule is going to help him at this age.

i'm gonna hold on to him.. they say he's injured, once he gets healthier he'll get better. his 3pts and assists will be huge down the stretch for me.

Re: Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
I got proposed Nash for Rubio. Not sure if I should be trading Rubio for Nash... standard Yahoo league so I"m considering the added 3s and even though Ricky is shooting 67% right now form the field Nash has been around .500fg for a long time.
Should I accept Nash for Ricky Rubio?

Re: Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
I'm keeping him. Can give you good three point shooting, assists on great percentages.
He'll be fine.

Re: Nash: Be Patient or Jump Ship?
The big problem outside of his shooting is that the Suns keep getting blown out so he doesn't get a lot of playing time.

Apparently he sustained some rib injury early in the week. That would make sense.
