1st off, I wouldn't trade Amare for Curry. What I would proposed is a counter offer of J-Wall/Nelson + Hibbert for Curry and a big man from the other team. I wouldn't do the Amare for Curry deal because Curry's value compared to Amare isn't big enough to compensate for his health concerns.

Yes, I'd drop Nelson for Gino. My reason for this is because I don't think Nelson is making his presence felt in your team anyway, might as well drop him for a player with a clear advantage in value once healthy

That's a pretty close trade, and would really depend on what categories you need. Cousins/McGee/Hibbert/Gasol could make Amare expendable. I think I would personally do it because your point guards look week. Wall has struggled, Teague is okay, and Miller/Nelson are underwhelming.

I would pick up Gino for Nelson as well. I also read recently that he was in the shoot around yesterday which is of course encouraging and he could come back a lot sooner than we first anticipated.

Knight...probably would stay away. He's a short term option in my opinion. Once Stuckey comes back, the rookie will go back to the bench where rookies are extremely inconsistent.

Thanks for the replies.

It's a big gamble on Curry's health...

I would really like to pick up Ginobili but do you think I could stay in contention with these two guys hurt on my bench? I read reports that Ginobili's planned return is Feb 29th, that's a long way from now.

I actually got Wall recently for Hawes. I tried that suggestion by 76ciology, but was turned down.

I have a dilemma on my hands.

Additional input is very welcome :)

I'd wait another week on Curry to make sure his ankle is game ready. It's a huge risk right now and trading Stat for an injured player isn't going to help long term. Also hold off on Ginobili before picking him up. With an injured Gordon already on your roster you don't need two players that don't give you stats.

Not a big fan of Wall. High TOs, low shooting%, and no 3pt's off set some of his production. You'd probably do better for a Wall and another of your bigs in a trade for a better starting PG.
