Fantasy Basketball Cheating?

Here's the scenario:

We have a 10 person h2h league, and 5 managers have clinched bids into the playoffs. only 2 managers have a shot at 6th place.

one of these two managers is playing against the last place team--the manager is in last place due to the fact he never adjusted his roster after about the third week of play and going going 0-3.

the other of the two managers fighting for a playoff seed reminded the last place manager to set his line-ups for the week, because the only chance this manager has of making the playoffs is if the last place managers wins his match-up (follow me so far?)

this manager just so happens to be the commissioner of the league-- but also did not use any commissioner powers to make this happen.

is this considered cheating... and if not cheating, is it shady?

I don't think it's actually cheating since it's not like someone traded Lebron James for Carl Landry or something. It's simply telling someone to play his players. If the commish wins simply by playing his players, then your friend wouldn't be in the playoff race in the first place (if your commish played his players all throughout the season).

But, if you feel it's BS considering your Commish barely cares about his league, then perhaps you should look for a new league next year. Either that or start your own.

Maybe he's saying the manager isn't the last place guy, he's the guy who told last place to play his team?

Either way, I **** hate people who stop playing, they deserve to burn in hell. But nah it's not cheating.

Yeah, when people stop setting their lineups, it's like are you serious? I don't even care if I'm the one getting the free ride. It just feels cheap.
