My team:
PG: Chris Paul, Grievis Vasquez, Jason Kidd
SG:JJ Reddick, Jose Calderon, Paul George
SF: Danny Green, MWP
PF: Paul Millsap, Joakiam Noah, Kenneth Faried
C: Roy Hibbert, Larry Sanders
8 teams, 9 cat roto
One of the GM's proposed his Kyle Lowry for my Grievis Vasquez, I know Vasquez has been playing like an elite point guard but will there be a positive side if I get Kyle Lowry ?
His team:
Brandon Jennings
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Martin
David Lee
Wesley Matthews
Brook Lopez
Kyle Lowry
Mike Conley
Lou Williams
Gerald Henderson
DMC
Omer Asik

I'd do it. Its a good sell high and buy low. Lowry will start eventually and when he gets normal time he's a legit top 20 guy. Vasquez is a normally low efficiency PG shooting in the low 50s lately. That won't continue.

Wrong. Despite averaging 23 mpg Lowry ranks 57th per game since returning from injury.
Snap call

Well, enjoy his 3 points and 5 assists averages that he's been putting up his last 3 games. I don't see Calderon going anywhere or Lowry getting back in the starting lineup anytime soon.

I know I'm taking a big risk, but if Lowry gets his playing time back there might just be a big return on investment. It's a long season and you never know who's gonna get traded.

Do I smell a prop bet?

I would stick with Vasquez, he has his flaws but there is nobody to take his minutes. Plus he is pretty sturdy. Lowry plays hard nosed and wrecklessly

He hasn't even been playing like that lately. He looks unmotivated and seems like he doesn't care out there. Which is why I'm not very high on him right now.

From my unbiased, analytical, don't-have-a-horse-in-this-race perspective, it seems pretty clear to me that the Raps are shopping Calderon, that he is highly likely to be traded, and that Lowry is obv the PG of the future and one of the best PGs in the L.
The uncertainty around Lowry is the only reason you're able to get him for so cheap right now. That's why it's called buy low, sell high, folks. Embrace the uncertainty, for where there is uncertainty, there is value.
