Question about Depth Charts.

Post#1 » by Marv Hartigan » Tue Oct 18, 2016 10:55 pm

Hi,

i was wondering if you could help me with the page with Depth charts as i am in a very deep league struggling with my minutes played.

What does the 11p 3r 5a under D. Schroders name for example mean?

Also, how accurate is all this information? Someone in my league just picked up T. Snell from Milwaukee from Waivers.
At this site he is a no 4 SG with limited playing time.

In the meanwhile a note at Yahoo reads: "Jason Kidd implied that Snell will be Milwaukee's starting two-guard on opening night."

Thanks in advance,
Marv

As it says in the note at the top of the page, it says the stats are based upon the last 5 games played.

11p = 11 points per game
3r = 3 rebounds per game
5a = 5 assists per game

No depth charts are alike, IMO. It is based on the preference of the one who did the depth charts. If you are to make your own, it will likely be different from RealGM's, from Yahoo's, etc.

The news of Tony Snell being the starter is still up in the air. Snell's per36 minute averages aren't that impressive, but it is a complete change of setting we are talking about. My guess is that, at best, he could the primary reliever to Antetokoounmpo at the shooting guard spot. Jabari holds the key, in my opinion. If he can really play the PF spot, it could open up minutes at the shooting guard spot and such move could make Teletovic come off the bench. But when you look at their roster, you'd think that they will need Teletovic's outside shooting to unclog the paint for their other players who can't shoot.

In my opinion, it will be a season-long timeshare at best. Brogdon could also get minutes at the 2 and 1, as he can really set-up his teammates well. I don't think it will be a breakout year for Snell, but he SHOULD average better numbers with an increase in minutes.

Okay, thank you very much for your very good answer.
And my excuses, i never saw the part about it being normal game stats.
I thought some complicate math formula for calculating the depth.
