Is this too much to give up for the first pick?

Post#1 » by wjun15 » Thu Oct 20, 2016 6:01 pm

lets say you had a choice of one of WB/Harden/KD/Curry (1) and his waivers that you would drop for your (2) + (3) + (4) + (5) pick, is this worth it?

I know those 4 are going to beast, but they aren't necessarily Stephen Curry 2015-16 good. Is it worth it to give up 2,3,4,5 for the first pick in a 4 for 4 deal?

I wouldn't give up picks in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th AND 5th rounds for a top 4 pick.

2nd rounder could be Millsap

3rd rounder could be Ibaka

4th rounder could be Conley

5th rounder could be Batum

Those 4 would be quality building blocks with any first round pick

No that is way way too much. They're good but they're not that good. You'd be one injury away from having by far the worst team in the league. Also, it's pointless to trade for the first pick. If you are desperate for one of those guys try to make a move for the 3rd pick.

Your first pick should be about as valuable, production wise, as your second and fourth picks combined. If you're punting correctly, you can still get top 10 value in those other picks. This would be a horrible idea.
