Sleeper candidates: blake griffin's numbers could go way up but he's a risk with his health. Also if Melo is traded, KP.

Blake is the guy to watch for. Also Jokic and 1 full year of Nurkic can impact fantasy.
As for teams look for any guy on the Pacers or Bulls to rack up stats. Not Hawks because Bud runs a more egalitarian system.

As for rookies only the PGs are worth looking at mostly Fultz(depreciated stats due to Simmons) and Ball. Tatum may be overhyped by draft so don't go to him as he might be benched early for Brown and Hayward.

This is an interesting year. I typically like to be in the top 3-4 and then value drops off. This year I'm fine with any of the following and would like to draft more in the 6-8 range.
Towns
Greek Freak
Harden
Westbrook
Curry
Davis
Durant
Leonard
Jokic
LeBron

I like many of the PGs in this rookie class. Fultz, Ball, and Smith Jr all have an excellent chance of contributing to their teams and FBB teams.

I agree with pretty much everything about your list except I think Towns should be middle/end of the 1st round. The T-wolves have such a talented roster now that I see his stats dipping a bit from last year. Taj Gibson and Butler will dip into his rebounds and Butler & Teague will dip into his points. I also have Westbrook ahead of Harden because Harden will often defer to Paul in PG duties (lowering his assists quite a bit from last year) while Westbrook will still start the offense. I agree with Jokic going in the first round- he's a fantasy stud for sure

Do you think Millsap will eat into Jokic's stats?

Not really. Millsap is just such a complete player that playing alongside him can help out teammates. He isn't a ball dominant player or anything. And the young Jokic will continue to get better.

A little bit for sure, but Millsap is such a versatile, unselfish player that he's more likely to fill in the gaps than overtake the offense. The Nuggets will have a lot of great ball movement in their frontcourt and Jokic will be less affected than the players mentioned earlier IMO

Who do you think will be better at fantasy this year.

1. Marc Gasol or Jusuf Nurkic
2. Kyrie Irving or Damian Lillard
3. Kyle Lowry or Mike Conley

And who are your sleepers?

1. Marc Gasol. Nurkic would probably give better volume stats, but his FG%/FT% is really harmful.
2. Dame. Dame has more supporting stats and more FT/game.
3. Lowry. Lowry is just a total beast in the RS.

My sleepers would be Caris Levert, Dejounte Murray, Jamal Murray, and Lou Williams.

Tough comparisons! I'm gonna go with Gasol over Nurkic based mostly on opportunity. The Grizzlies stats have to come from somewhere and with Randolph out of the frontcourt and Conley as the only other legit fantasy player on the Grizz, Gasol should have a very strong year. I also expect him to play more games than Nurk.

I hate to say this as a Blazers fan, but I have to go Kyrie on #2 and that's without even knowing which team he'll be on. He and Lillard had pretty much identical stats across the board fantasy-wise except for rebounds (Lillard was ahead by almost 2 rebounds) and points (Lillard ahead by almost 2 points). Kyrie had Lebron to share stats with. He's going to come out guns blazing next year to silence any doubters that he's a #1 guy and I see him breaking out much like Harden did when he left OKC.

With my logic of the previous two, it would make sense for me to go with Conley over Lowry due to opportunity. That said, I feel like Lowry is the superior player and Conley is simply a safe, non-risk taker which leaves him as less likely to elevate his game much. Lowry had better stats across the board last year and with the Raptors roster mostly still in tact, I expect Lowry to produce at a very high level again.

Sleepers: Dennis Smith Jr, Julius Randle, Donovan Mitchell, John Collins

In ROTO leagues with standard TO (turnovers) category, Westbrook and Harden should not be even TOP10 pick, if your ultimate goal is not just a good place, but league winner only! The alternative is to pick them high on draft day and then trade for players without such big issue on some category, similar to famous Shaq/FT case.

In all other leagues (H2H or points based), of course, both must be drafted as TOP5 picks.

Interesting. We don't play with turnovers actually so Harden and Westbrook still 1 and 2 I'd imagine.

Who would your sleepers be?

SLEEPERS: Jamal Murray and Gary Harris if Nuggets do not sign some new notable guard this summer, Buddy Hield, Julius Randle, Schroeder, Favors...

If Cleveland does not find a good replacement for Irving, or gets for him only young players and future picks, then Lebron and Love numbers should rise compared to last 3 seasons. All three players candidates for 2017/17 MIP award (Giannis, Jokic, Gobert) should continue with improvement... etc..

Rookies to watch (draft 2017 late picks): #9 Dennis Smith and #13 Donovan Mitchell

Gasol>Nurkic by a fair amount
Irving<Lillard- but it depends on where Irving ends up. Lillard is better with Nurkic on the floor so I think he will up his game this year
Lowry>Conley by a fair amount.
