There really isnt a way to COMPLETELY rig it, because even the refs cant control teams getting hot and cold from the field. A great example of this is 2014 finals Spurs/Heat game 5. Early in that game you can just tell that they were REALLY trying to extend the series with all the ticky tack fouls called on S.A. early and the Heat using that advantage to jump to a nice early lead.
