H2H league (sports.ws) and I have the first pick in a dynasty league. (We blew up the league after 10 years and we're starting from scratch this year)

I feel like picking AD is a no brainer, but his injury history gives me pause. I can see KAT becoming truly dominant this year despite the contract/team drama going on. I am really leaning towards KAT as the anchor for my team. Am I reaching? (I tend to value centers more as there seem to be less of them to draft. I'm also considering the Greek Freak as my top pick, but I really want to start with a Center eligible player)

Thoughts?

Its not a reach it just depends on do you think/ad can stay on the court

I think it's pretty debatable in a dynasty league. Towns is a little younger and has shown some great durability so far. I don't think he'll be better over the next couple years but he's definitely safer. I would lean towards AD but I don't think it would be some major mistake going Towns. Both are very easy to build around. I wouldn't go Giannis over either. Trickier to build around and I prefer my big gun to be great in both percentages if possible.

I think AD has been held out of games more than he would have if he were in his prime. I'd say he misses a lot less time in the future when the expectations around him shift completely from development to results. As such, I'd lean heavily towards AD, but this is conjecture based on my own suspicions.

id go AD and try my best to trade him as soon as possible for a package surrounding Towns or Harden + a cheeky piece lmao.

AD in redraft, KAT in dynasty, mostly because of health and age.

Davis is only two years older.

I hate KAT's defense. So I might stick with Davis.

Or you could get real wacky and go for Giannis or Simmons or if you really want to gamble Ayton.
