So, with the performances last night of Wembanyama and Scoot, certainly there will be some generational tanking going on in the NBA this season.
With Utah and OKC sitting on picks and depleted teams, who do you think, will sit more out of Sexton and SGA? I doubt that OKC will let SGA loose and accidentally win games for them. Same for Sexton, but i believe Sexton, while scoring, wont win you any games.

What do you guys think? Who would you take a risk on in fantasy Basketball? (I have my draft next week)

Would you rather have a Sexton fantasy or a Shai fantasy?

You’ll have more regret passing up SGA than passing up on Sexton.

But i reckon Sexton will have better season because he will be candidate for Jazz’ pump and dump scheme

Regret minimization? If SGA doesnt suit up for 40+ games, i will regret picking him above anybody that will miss less games.

That regret is minimal compared to passing up on SGA and he plays for majority of the season. Also a nice bet that the trend of SGA missing majority of the season will stop (not good for his career and future contract).

If I were to reckon that Sexton will have the better season... I'd pick Sexton.

they’re both shut down candidates as the fantasy playoffs draws closer.. i’d steer clear of both.. but sga

I'd personally pass on both, but I'd feel more secure game to game with SGA. I'd pass because both are likely shutdown candidates come march.

SGA is definitely going to get the OKC tank treatment. If they are both available at the same spot, i would take SGA but SGA is ranked a lot higher and i don't think i would risk a top 4 round pick on him.

Preseason doesn't matter too much and Sexton was injured at the end of last year so it may be a way to watch his minutes early on, so this may not hold true in the regular season, but Sexton came off the bench for Utah in their first preseason game.

Don't need to overthink this one - take the young multi cat star over a microwave scorer every time.

If you would rather be mediocre in fantasy, take Sexton.

Silly to not take SGA because he might sit if the Thunder tank....

Depends when your Fantasy Playoffs end. But regardless, it's Shai.

SGA's current ADP is 45.3 on Yahoo. Sexton's current ADP is 85.7.

They're literally a different tier. A more apt comparison would be SGA vs Fox. Or Jrue, Lavine, McCollum, Rozier..

SGA easily but no point in having SGA since he won't play for your fantasy team when the playoffs roll around.

I don't think okc is crazy enough to sit him 40 games just for tanking purposes. I also see sexton getting sat games for the jazz as they are tanking as well. Whose to say the jazz wont sit him for quite a few games for the same purpose. Sexton is coming back from an ACL which may take a while for him to become productive this season versus SGA can start putting up stats and usage right away.
