With the addition of Korver to the Jazz, how much impact will that have on Brewer's value?

I think it takes a pretty big hit, but I was offered Brewer for D. Lee. I am only apprehensive because we have 3 rebound categories, even so I still think I have to do it.

3 rebound cats? o boards, defensive, total?

and I do think he took a big hit, but the strategy im taking is trying to package him in a larger deal, before other managers realize the hit he's taken.


Also, thoughts on picking up Korver?

Brewer's true value lies in his steals.

If they dry up, his value falls appreciably.

Steals, plus his very high FG %

he won't score many points, but he never has an atrocious shooting night.

and when he does go off, its again for very high percentage (shot 9-11 once)

Yup. I don't know what my commish was thinking.

How many mins less do you think he is going to play?

Korver is decent. If you need 3M and FT he is a very solid. His production should be better then on the 6ers. The Jazz offense is very potent.

wow, thats odd. hopefully there are enough other stat cats that big men don't become entirely over valued.

and If I can move Brewer in a deal for a PG, I think I will pick up Korver, just to see what he does.

Thoughts on what a package of R. Brewer and A. Daniels could get me, if Daniels comes back strong from his injury?

I've said it 100 times. Brewers steals are not going to drop as long as he's getting playing time. You shouldn't count on him for anything but those steals.

After sitting on him since the trade, the time to hope for value has moved on. Dropped him for Joe Smith.

yeah, decreased minutes and all, I would take his production in steals over Joe Smiths production overall.

As you don't know my league, I MAYBE understand your post, nevertheless, Brewer at this time is unstartable for me, plus a strain on setting a daily lineup. As always, a decent WW pickup will surface over the next 3-4 days, never fails, one who will bury the value Brewer has offered-even BEFORE Korver was acquired. So, more power to you if he still is acceptable for you (Or your league), or you can afford to hang onto him in hopes of regaining his beginning value, he isn't for mine.

I think we were questioning your acquisition of Smith. I think most people would take Brewer over Smith fairly easily, and I don't understand your reasoning behind saying he is unstartable, and a "strain". I don't see how Smith eases these apparent issues.

While I didn't offer that I needed to drop a player tomorrow to activate Daniels from the IR. Every body playing every night can add points toward a weekly win for me. If he scores well enough tonight for me, I may keep him, otherwise a streamer spot will outpreform Brewer. Take a look at what Smith has done over his last 6 games or so-then look at Brewer's.
For me, steals alone mean zip, it's a cumulitive total of all catagories that count. Shoot, ya want steals, add Stuckey, he's getting involved and got 3 last night. How many has Brewer been getting recently?

He's still getting his steals, that is what he is there for. I'll keep him in my team.

Everyone who has dropped him already is a bit premature IMO unless it is a deep league. If steals are what you need I would snatch him off waivers right away.

Does it matter? I'd take Brad Miller off waivers for any of my 10-13th men.

I really do not know what to do with brewer, I've been trying to shop him in a trade along with Deng but nobody seems to want to make a deal. My team could use some help with blocks and boards.

I get some pretty good contribution across the board with rebounds but my lack of big men is killing my block totals. So the question is, should i sacrifice Brewer's steals by dropping him for a big? Notable FA: Sean Williams, Dampier, Diop, Kurt Thomas, Randy Foye, Darko, Gomes, Nazr.
