I traded Wade... Was I ripped off?

Post#1 » by buzzer90 » Wed Jan 16, 2008 10:40 pm

My roster:

Joe Johnson
Kevin Martin
Ronnie Brewer
Corey Maggette
Chris Bosh
Rudy Gay
Chris Kaman
Dwayne Wade
Antonio Daniels
Rashad McCants
Rafer Alston
Jermaine O'Neal
Jamaal Tinsley

I traded Dwayne Wade for Tyson Chandler. Why I did it: My worst cat. is rebounds. I couldn't acquire David West or Dwight Howard. I tried to get Josh Howard, Michael Redd, and a slew of other players, but no one wanted Wade. I finally traded Wade for Chandler. I did this move solely because of the Wade injury risk. Was I completely ripped off?

Side note: I drafted Gilbert Arenas as the fourth pick overall. I then traded Arenas and West for Bosh and Joe Johnson.

Jefferson and Jamison were not available. I basically made the best of a very bad situation.

Chandler's numbers tonight:

7-9, 14 Pts
21 Rebs

Maybe I wasn't completely ripped off. :P

Hmmm im trying to trade Wade as well but im trying for someone like Jefferson, Gasol maybe even Pierce but I really dont want to just give him away.
Chandlers numbers today will make it a bit easier for you though.

I would have tried getting a bit more for Wade. If you couldn't get a top 15 talent I would have tried handcuffing Tinsley to Wade for two better than average players. Say a big like Chandler and someone like Tony Parker or Andre Miller.

hold on to Wade. He's going to pick it up for the rest of the season as Miami tries to make a run for the playoffs.
