Make and trade and then drop one of them? Help needed.

Ok so here's the deal.

I am poised to make a trade that would cost me Ray Allen and the Big Z in return for Pau Gasol.

I was going to then use the free roster spot to pick up Derek Fisher or TJ Ford.

However the guy I'm trading w/ is insistent upon me taking Jamaal Tinsley back in return. I loathe Tinsley. Way too inconsistent for me and comes w/ killer %'s and TO's.

Should I make the deal and then drop Tinsley and pick up Fish or Ford? Or should I just not make a move?

I'd do the deal and drop Tinsley, are there any other PGs available on the wire? Given a choice between the two, I'd go with Fish since there is no timetable for TJs return.
