for those of you in dynasty leagues (especially those with an eye a few years down the road), which players from the past 2 or 3 drafts are you stockpiling on your roster?

not counting the obvious guys who are already make huge impacts like durant, horford, roy, aldridge etc...

i am holding onto thad young, tyrus thomas, bargnani, corey brewer, al thornton, and navarro.

hopefully 2 or 3 of them will pan out, but i am losing patience with tyrus, fast.

who are your young diamonds? who is worth picking and stashing for a year or two? who is flying under the fantasy radar?

This is what I'm currently running in the later stages of a rebuilding effort.

So to answer your question, I'm dragging along Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Al Thornton, Nick Young, Andrea Bargnani, Javaris Crittenton, Nate Robinson, Jeff Green, Oden and Morrison from those draft classes.

I'm hoping Nick Young and/or Crittenton can be the guy I get production from after being stashed for a couple years.

i think crittenton could be a decent fantasy option down the road, especially if they move him to off guard next season, while keeping pg status. at sg he'll have a chance to score and rebound a little more, while still picking up assists and some steals.


green is available in our league but i'm just not sure how to project his stats moving forward. he strikes me as simply a glue guy, an all around decent in most things great in none type. but... he seems to also be a sure bet to get plenty of minutes in the next few years.

You need to rid yourself of that old man.

As for me I am contending for the title but that doesn't mean I can't hold onto some youth.

I have Foye (coming back from injury and looking good), Thad Young (just started starting), Martel Webster (still holding out hope), Shaun Livingston (stashed on the IL).

I guess Ellis does count since he is contributing.

I can't comment on players not on my team.

That sounds a lot like Shane Battier who was a desent fantasy contributor.

yeah, i guess green is one of those non-flashy guys who will win you a league one day with solid but unspectacular numbers. but i dont think anyone truely thinks green is the type who could potentially erupt into a fantasy superstar in 2-3 years. [cheesy baseball analogy alert] i guess sometimes its better to take the single than try for the home run. green strikes me as a single.


livingston is a good mention. can he really make the rebound? if so, he has the tools to be a dominating fantasy player down the road.

i love thad young's fantasy potential.

We've got quite a few roster spots, two IL spots and 14 teams. I don't need Green to be a fantasy superstar to justify a spot on my team.

You got it all wrong on Jeff Green my friend. He's gonna be sick one day. Maybe even next year. He's a great rebounder and more scoring will come with time. Seattle loves him and were willing to part with some big pieces for him. Keep him.
