getting ready for playoffs, what can i get for wade?

Post#1 » by pewing33ny » Mon Feb 18, 2008 10:51 pm

I'm currently sitting 5th in my league after being in 1st for most of the season, but i've had a bad 2-3 weeks with caron/KG/ronnie brewer/wade/brand being injured. i'm only 3-4 games out of first and have about 10 games on the 6th place person so i'm not worried about making the playoffs.

i have wade in acouple other leagues too so i won't even post the roster i have now because i don't really have any real needs.

but what have you guys who have wade going to do with him? keep him? or trade him for someone who has a little bit better playoff value?

not really asking anything specific, just trying to see what other players are around his value right now and who would be good for the playoffs. (i also have him in a roto league or 2)

I would wait just a bit, let him get on a hot streak with Marion in town (looks like he might be getting started on one)

then pull the trigger. I'd package him with someone else and get a real stud. or 1-1, i'm working on a Wade for Yao trade, thoughts?

thats a good move provided Yao is healthy. I have a similar dilemma because I believe Wade will be shut down at some point since he does not have the same explosiveness he did last year. I'm looking to trade him for a PG preferably one that shoots a high FG% to counter Arenas' traditionally terrible FG%. The obvious options here are D-will, Nash, Calderon some cheaper options are Andre Miller, Harris, Parker and Mo-Will. I was considering Billups but his value comes with his low TO numbers and my team will probably still lose TO's even if I got him. Good idea or do I need help elsewhere?

My team:
PG: Wade
SG: Kobe
G: Felton
SF: Butler
PF: Horford
F: M. Miller
C: Bogut
C: Darko
Util: Battier
Util: R. Bell
BN: JO
BN: Deng
BN: Arenas

You can probably get Calderon or DWill for Wade straight up, but Nash usually gets over valued after the owner wins the assists category 8 times in a row. I like Mo Williams the most. His playoff schedule is the best, and his %s are top notch. You could likely get a solid bigman to go with Mo, if youre offering Wade.
