i was tempted to do it. I'm kind of weak in rebounding and this doesnt hurt me there all that much. Kobe has been a beast as of late though with josh smith slumping (martin to an extent as well). I'd also say aldrige isnt going to keep up his production of 20/8.

Last time you guys gave me some excellent opinions and i look forward to more of it. Thanks again guys.

That's a tough call.. There's so many variables in play. You've got kobe's finger, is it roto or H2H, what categories are you going for, playoff schedules in h2h...

I think that if you want to own the blocks category then Josh Smith is the man, but Kobe helps you across the board and gives you a really big push in offensive stats. Not alot of guys can put up 9.4 FGM at 46% and hit 7 FTs at 85%. Then again with Carter and Artest now without their PGs theyre called upon to do so much more, it's not like you can't mask Kobe's absence.

And then the other players involved... As good as I know Kevin Martin is, he's not putting up the numbers lately and with Bibby gone who knows how long it takes for him to readjust. Lamarcus is a great young talent on a bright young team, he's liable to turn it up another notch to make a playoff push.

You know what, I'd probably say no also. It's just a giant step sideways with no clear winner. You also lose the best player involved in the deal. If he wants Kobe, he's gotta come up with a better player than Kevin Martin to sweeten.

Gracias flashflood, the guy works in the same general vacinity... Hes the same person who gave me VC / AK47 for jamison in the past. . Funny thing is i was looking at players to trade for and i cant really think of anyone i'd want or could get.

don't do it, Kobe has been on fire since the Gasol trade. I read somewhere that hes shooting 51% since the deal and thats with a bad pinky that requires surgery. He's giving you solid numbers in rebounds and assists along with 2 steals a night. The Lakers also have a very favourable playoff schedule (assuming your league is H2H).

Not a bad trade proposal at all, but I would probably keep Kobe and Aldridge too like some others pointed out. You could argue Kobe's torn pinkie ligament is a bit of a risk, but his stats don't seem to suffer. Smoove on the other hand has seen a slight drop in production since Bibby came over, Atlanta is starting to become a pretty solid team. He'll still get his garbageman stats, but I think his points and assists will drop a bit. Might be good for his FG% and TO though, which would help him a lot.

Conclusion; keep Kobe.
