Ok, so here's the deal, I'm by far the best in my league in the assist category. It's a head to head league. Hughes is sitting on waivers and I really think he's going to be a fine player in Chicago regaining some of the form he had during his last year in Washington. After putting together a nice month in February and a solid first few games in Chicago, it seems likely. I think he boosts my steals quite a bit even thought he hasn't been getting many lately. He gives me points and a well rounded game.

So who would you rather keep? Calderon, Ford, or both? How do you think the split affects each guys. The point guard by committee thing sucks.

I actually have them both on my one team where I'm running away with the league, so it looks like you and I are doing something right

If it comes down to only keeping one I take Calderon easily. The main reason for that is consistency and efficiency are the name of the game.

Calderon will always score at an efficient clip, will always put up good assist numbers whether starting or coming off the bench, and I guess even more importantly is very solid from an injury / durability standpoint.

You never know when Ford is going to get another little chip here or chip there and is going to miss a game or two,

Basically in my league Ford is on my short-list of players to be dropped, if I find a solid player on waivers Ford will probably be the first player I drop...

Also if you're going to gamble on Hughes it probably makes even more sense to keep Calderon since as I said Ford has been scoring at a very poor rate from the field and Hughes is bound to have at least a couple of Cleveland-Hughes games where he chucks it up like no other as well... Basically you don't want too many players with the potential to mess up your FG% big time (in one night) on your roster.

Calderon is doing everything he can to lose his guarenteed starting gig. I'd still stick with him in fantasy though.

If Raptors lose their back-to-back on Tues/Wed, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ford thrown into the starting lineup once again for experimentation purposes. To be blunt, Calderon has been playing like garbage.
