Kaman or Gasol?

Post#1 » by Alex_De_Large » Tue Oct 7, 2008 12:35 am

Who would you pick and who is the player who will put better numbers next year?
Camby arribe does mean Kaman will get less rebounds but maybe playing with Davis (fast pace) he will get equal rebounds and maybe more points? Gasol will have worst numbers playing with Bynum, maybe 2 or 3 less rebounds.

Last year general stat for Pau Gasol was: 27.7 and for Chris Kaman 27.1

in my league it's like this:
Assists: 1.5
Off. Rebounds: 1.5
Def. Rebounds: 1.0
Blocks: 1.5
Steals: 1.7
Free throws made: 1.7
2 pointers made: 2.6
3 pointers made: 3.5
Free throws shot: -0.7
2 pointers shot: -0.6
3 pointers shot: -0.5
Turnovers: -1.5
Personal Fouls: -0.5
Technical Fouls: -1.0
Team Win: 1.0
Team Lose: -2.0

I'd go with Gasol and I don't even really think it's that close.

Gasol is the safer pick, but Kaman could beast it like the beginning and mid of last season, remember also that they sat him out for tanking purposes to end last season. He could have played at least around 70 games if not for that. Gasol can't give you 12-13 boards with 3 blocks and Kaman still scores like 16 points per...Gasol is still more valuable at this point though.
