I just got him at that point but I'm not sure if I did a good move or not. my gut says it's great move but what do you guys think?

I think that's a great spot to get him.
I'd rather have Arenas for 4 months + waiver scrub for 2 months than Nate Robinson (for example) for 6 months.
That goes for a lot of players better than Nate Robinson too, but the risk/reward ratio isn't favourable until later on in the draft.

Nice....he is only slated to miss the first 2 months maybe less. You can easily find someone to put up stats to hang around until he comes back.
