First Trade: Traded Before Pick Selections
My 3rd and 4th Rounders for an (Early) 2nd Rounder and 5th Rounder. Only had 30 seconds to decide who I wanted with that 2nd Round pick, got Gasol. I'm not sure about that pick. Should I try to trade him for Kevin Martin, Rudy Gay, or Josh Smith? Would it be possible (and wise) to trade him with say Joe Johnson and try to land a top 10 player? I think Brand will have a phenomenal year.
Final Breakdown of Trade: Hedo and Miller for Gasol and Monta (5th Rd)
Second Trade: Swap of Picks in Rounds 7 and 8.
Traded Nelson and Pietrus for Rose and Warrick. I was hoping for Ty Thomas to fall to that pick. Everyone in the league knows me and knows I love TT. So he was taken a few picks before I could have gotten him.
I took Rose as I had a choice between him, Nelson, and Udrih. I felt Rose has the highest ceiling. Might not reach it. But worth the risk. Plus I'm a Bulls fan.
So what do you think of my team? Remember it's an 18 team league, so the depth goes fast. I like my Rudy pick, but not the rest of my late picks (Warrick, Turiaf). Warrick finished the season well.
Will Gasol have a good year? Or should I trade him? I wish I had more time to think about that pick than 30 seconds on the board. We had a 20 team league last year, and my goal was to have 3 solid players. How about JO and Nene? I felt if healthy, huge if, both could give me along the lines of 13/10/2 on average. Getting that and if Gasol can give me 17/8 would be a damn good frontline in a deep league.
