Tyrus has been tearing it up in the preseason so far. He's had 3 double-double's in a row with nice defensive stats. It appears that he's worked his way into the starting line-up with the new coach. He's only battling Noah, Gooden and Gray for time where Diaw is behind Amare & Shaq.

I think I'd lean towards Tyrus at this point, especially if you need true big man stats. Diaw can be a nice source for assists and points but he's not a great rebounder or defender. I think Tyrus might be 10/10/2/1/2 this year with 25-30 minutes a game.

Even as a 'proven' all around player, I would only draft Diaw if he shored up some of my guard stats, and I needed a center. Tyrus has big time potential this year and when you're drafting this late, you should always consider potential more than past production.
