Urgent: Baron or Butler

Post#1 » by Chamilitary Man » Mon Oct 27, 2008 11:14 pm

In a 16 team H2H, 11 Cat, Right now my team looks like this

PG: Andre Miller/Daniel Gibson
SG: Corey Maggette/Rip Hamilton/Francisco Garcia
SF: Shawn Marion/James Posey
PF: Elton Brand/Nick Collison
C: Al Jefferson/Jason Maxiell/Roy Hibbert

Bottom line is, Marion has to get traded (don't ask bit of an odd situation), but yeah should I get Baron for him? Or Caron Butler?

I like Butler better as a player. Both are injury prone, but Butler is more consistent overall IMO.

In terms of your team though, Baron might be a better fit as you are thin at the PG spot.

I'd take Baron if I were you.

Rate my team if you have time: Thanks!

I'd go Butler simply because you are losing Marion from starting SF. I rate Andre Miller, and expect 7-8 apg. Butler should get you 5 apg as well, so would be a better option.

However keeping Marion is the best play imo. What's the odd situation we can't ask about?

Also what are the 2 extra cats? off and def rebs? if so, even more reason to take Butler over Baron, but also even more of a reason to KEEP Marion over Butler.

Summary: Marion > Butler > Baron

Well it's a keeper league and the rule starting from two years ago was that if you pull the trigger on the trade, it goes through unless the trade is either A. Ridiculous, B. One of the players gets injured during the transaction period, or C. One of the Managers for that team gets another offer they'd rather accept during the pending period, and I already pulled the trigger on Marion for Baron for some stupid reason, so now I'm confused on whether to let it go through, or to take Butler.

Keeper league makes me lean more towards Baron.

However you will really need Garcia to pick it up to man your SF position. So i'd go Butler purely for position.
