Getting Oden On The Cheap

Hey, so I am in a H2H league, and after Greg rolled his ankle last night, I began thinking to myself that it might be an opportunity.
Here's my roster:
Steve Nash, Pho PG
Brandon Roy, Por SG
Paul Pierce, Bos SG, SF
Pau Gasol, LAL PF, C
Yao Ming, Hou C
Raymond Felton, Cha PG
Andres Nocioni, Chi SF, PF
Al Horford, Atl PF, C
Tony Parker, SA PG
Kevin Love, Min PF
Peja Stojakovic, Nor SF
Raja Bell, Pho SG
Marc Gasol, Mem C
Now I've already set a waiver to drop Nocioni and add Rudy Fernandez. The guy in our league who drafted Oden could really use consistency, and he's not gonna get that from Oden, at least early. But tracking the media reports here, I get the distinct impression that this is an injury that won't last, and so I was considering proposing a Marc Gasol or Kevin Love for Greg Oden trade while he's injured.
Yea? Nea?

I would def make both of those trades(if I was you) but the name alone would make the other guy not make the trade. Also, reports from POR are saying its nothing too serious, so i doubt he trades him soooo early especially after playing a great team like the Lakers

Who does he have for PG? You might be able to get him for Tony Parker.

Marc Gasol is a potential 10/10/1 blk guy who shoots good free throws as well, like most international bigs. I don't know why people are sleeping on him. Are people afraid of Darko "freakin" Milicic??? Please!!! Kevin Love has endurance issues, so I don't see too much in him anyways. Thus, I'd probably offer Kevin Love first before I try Marc Gasol.
To me, I think Oden is going to be plagued with injuries all year/career long. Even if this ankle injury isn't serious, you can bet that another injury of some sort will come later.
This could be a steal or it could blow up in your face.

Oden just got waived in one of my leagues and I could use another C. Just waiting to see how serious the injury is before I pick him up.

I'm going to hold out until right before he comes back before I pick him up, hopefully nobody beats me to it but somebody probably will since the league has an injured reserve spot and I've already got Ginobilli stashed away there.

I'd stay away from Oden unless he's a free agent. He has a lot of potential, but he's really young, really raw, and he appears to be injury prone (though it's a little early to tell for sure). You're not going to get any kind of consistency from him. He'll have a few solid games, but for the time being he's nothing more then hype.
BTW, trading Tony Parker for Greg Oden is insane.
