Post#1 » by nyk2423 » Mon Dec 29, 2008 11:55 am

I am in a 10 team league and I am currently in 9th place, but I truly believe that is because of injuries like Manu,Deron,KMart,Tyson, and I had Redd for a while. But I am looking to improve my team, mainly the SF positions. The cats in my league are pts fgm fg% fta ftm ft% 3ptm 3pt% ast oreb reb stl blk to and my team looks like this...

PG.Deron
PG.Calderon
SG.KMart
SG.Manu
SF.Artest
SF.Wilson Chandler
PF.AL Jeff
PF.Zach
C.Camby
Util.Aldridge
Bench
Foye
Nate
Tyson
Rudy F
Thad Young

I am looking to trade Tyson but I dont know what kind of value he has so if you guys can help me please do.Also what cats do you think I am weak in????ANY ADVICE WILL HELP.

You'll definitely move up just by virtue of having everyone healthy. Your team could be a lot worse and you couldn't have had worse luck with injuries.

I think you're exceedingly strong in points and assists and could maybe use another 3-point shooter, at least until Martin gets back. Are you really telling me in a 10-team league you can't replace Tyson Chandler with a free agent? I'd say that in a 10-teamer he will have no value, sorry. I'd drop him for a guy like Fisher, Bonner, Warrick, Mike James, or Steve Blake if any of them are available. I'd also consider dropping Rudy as he seems to have peaked in value already for the season. He's still good and valuable for threes, but I'd bet you could find someone better if you tried. If you drop him grab a shooter like Fish or James.

I know that Kevin Martin is murdering more than one of my fantasy teams right now and has been frustrating to own. I'd love to get rid of him but the reality is that when he's back he has the ability to be a top 20 player. One thing that you could consider is shopping Manu Ginobilli and see what you can get. Most people remember him as a top-20 guy when healthy, but will get end up getting the minutes to perform at that level this year? Try offering Manu and something of value like Nate or LaMarcus for Wade or CP3 and then try to grab an FA, you might get lucky.

Sad for you with those injuries. Kevin Martin would be a dominant player in this configuration; I'd look to move Artest and Foye.
