Kirk Hinrich

Post#1 » by amb1ent » Thu Jan 1, 2009 8:13 pm

anyone else thinking about grabbing him off waivers? yahoo says he's 2-3 weeks from returning.

also, to give this thread a dual purpose: who should i drop to grab hinrich? my guards: calderon, mike james, fisher, marquis daniels, durant, ginobili. i'm wavering between mike james and daniels...

I wouldn't drop those guys for Hinrich. Rose ended up being NBA ready and it was Hinrich who lost out of minutes, not Gordon. He'll play, but both Gordon and Rose will be getting 35mpg. He might help you out slightly in assists but I think it's worth holding onto Daniels. Def. not worth dropping Mike James for Hinrich.

When is the right time to pick him up? I am near the bottom b/c of injury and did Hinrich, now I want him back without hindering my team. When should I pick him up. I have QRich, DJ Augustine or Westbrook to drop. But I would just drop Q...anyways, when is a good time to do it!

thanks

I think Hinrich's stats are going to be worse than last year. Rose is already a borderline all-star, if anyone is expecting Hinrich to take minutes from him they're mistaken. Take those pre-season projections for Hinrich and bump them down a notch, no one thought Rose was going to be this good this fast.

Why drop Augustin, Westbrook, or Q? No way Hinrich gets 30mpg. I did grab Hinrich in an 18-team league where it cost me just Devean George but in my smaller leagues I'm not even looking in his direction.

anyone think Hinrich will get traded once he plays a handful of games in for the bulls. i remember that was a RealGM wiretap when he just got injured--that he was going to get traded. should he get picked up based on that? It's just for a player like that, he is bound to get burn and digits. what are your thoughts!

thanks!

Paxson did a radio interview today. It appears he is trying to move Hughes to make room for Hinrich once the Bulls have a healthy roster.

It definitely looks like somebody from the Bulls backcourt is going to be traded. It would probably be best for Hinrich's value if he was traded to a team where he can play PG for 30+ minutes. Before he got injured he looked much better playing PG on the Bulls than when he was playing SG.
I'd always thought of propane as a dignified lady. But she can also be a dirty girl.

Well so far so good for Hinrich pickerupers.

Hughes has been DNP-CDs since Hinrich has come back and that's giving him decent minutes. At least 25mpg.

And Hinrich seems to be putting up decent stats in his first three games back.

Any CHI fans want to shed some light into the actual play of Hinrich and his role?

Is Mike James still > Hinrich?

Bulls fan and Hinrich owner, here.

Old Kirk's return has taken Lindsay Hunter and Larry Hughes (soon to be traded) completely out of the rotation ie - so he's been getting all the back-up minutes at PG and a a fair amount at SG, too. In fact, there've been times when both Hinrich and Rose have been out on the floor that Kirk has run the point -- as a Bulls fan, it seems like the stupidest thing in the world, but it bodes well for Kirk's production as the primary ball-handler.

13 pts, 6 assits, 4 rebs, 1.4 3's, 1.3 stls with solid %'s seems reasonable, from here on out.

I picked up Hinrich the day he came back, and he's been very productive for me. If he's still on the FA, I suggest you take him fast!
