Blake Griffin - Drop or wait it out?

Post#1 » by creative1 » Tue Oct 27, 2009 7:03 pm

What is everyone doing? I'm leaning towards dropping him but I'm afraid someone will pick him up and wait. I can afford to lose his stats but I hate having players on the bench not producing for extended periods of time.

H2H, 10 teams, standard cats + FTM

I also have Dwight Howard, Al Jefferson, Brook Lopez, Joahkim Noah, Jason Thompson and Jeff Green as my big men so it would not kill me to miss Blake's production. I won't have any problems on big man stats this year.

Keep him. He'll be a nice little boost when he returns. Or maybe you can try trading him for a guard. The more you wait, the more value you'd be able to get in return.

Who would you be dropping him for? Best 3 or 4 players on the wire.

Courtney Lee
Aaron Brooks
Louis Wiliams
Shane Battier
Kirk Hinrich
Brandon Rush
James Harden
Roger Mason

There are other players but I don't really need any more forwards. I would pick-up a guy who can shoot 3's.

I also have Blake Griffin, and actually just dropped him. Now the question is who should I pick up: Dejuan Blair or Roy Hibbert?

I'd wait it out unless it becomes evident that one of those players is going to break out. Certainly don't drop him just because you don't like having an inactive player on your roster.

I'd go with Hibbert.

I'm really tempted to pick up A. Brooks or C. Lee. I think both of them are going to be very solid this year and I need a 3pt shooter. I hope I can pick Griffin back up in 4 weeks. If not, I think I'll be ok with D. Howard, A. Jefferson, B. Lopez, J. Noah, J. Thompson and Jeff Green on my squad.

I dropped him for Aaron Brooks last night. I need the 3's and PG stats more than I need Griffin's stats. I think Brooks should have a great year in Houston as they have no scoring. I might try to get Griffin back but I'm not losing out on 6 weeks of production.
