Drop Salmons for Eric Gordon?

Someone in my league dropped Eric Gordon for some reason. Since Salmons has been awful and bringing down my FG%, I'm looking for a new shooting guard. Eric Gordon has been playing great so far and I'm starting to think Salmons' last season was a fluke, so should I make this move?

8 person rotisserie league by the way.

John Salmons is your worst player? Surely you've got someone worse than him that you can drop...

It's an 8 team league. I don't have a hard time believing Salmons is his worst player, and if that's the case, hell yes you drop him for Gordon. My reasons: Gordon looks great and Salmons has looked like crap. A lot of us Bulls fans had reservations about Salmons' ability to play the 2, and so far he's really struggled in a catch-and-shoot role. Granted it's early and there's no way that he will continue shoot so badly, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was up and down all year.

I think there should be room on any 8 team roster for both

8 team league teams are pretty stacked man. Maybe not stacked enough that Salmons is your worst player, but he could be. Or it could be a positional thing.

Anyway, Gordon is looking like a stud. I'd do it.

Michael Beasley maybe, but he's not playing as bad as Salmons. Kevin Martin is my other shooting guard and I'm definitely hanging onto him. I think he's my worst player. Here's my full roster:

PG Devin Harris*, NJ PG
SG Kevin Martin, Sac SG
SF LeBron James, Cle SF
PF Al Horford, Atl PF, C
C Brook Lopez, NJ C
G Chauncey Billups, Den PG
F LaMarcus Aldridge, Por PF
UTIL Michael Beasley, Mia SF, PF
Bench Rashard Lewis*, Orl SF, PF
Bench David West, Nor PF
Bench Eric Gordon, LAC SG

Now that Devin Harris is out I'm gonna have to put Billups at PG and need a G and Eric Gordon is the best one available. I'm dead last in FG% and Salmons isn't really helping much in that category.

As I suspected, you weren't lying when you said Salmons was your worst player. Hang on to Beasley. He's got more upside and isn't playing out of position* like Salmons.

*Not trying to spur an "is Beasley a 3 or a 4 debate". My point is that Salmons is definitely not a natural 2, and so far it shows.
