Rashard Lewis for Trevor Ariza

Post#1 » by herbiehancock00 » Thu Nov 5, 2009 12:01 pm

I'm looking into trading Lewis for Ariza. I have way too many PF's and C's on my team and need someone that can play SF/G position. I can afford to lose a little bit of rebound, and Ariza will give me the same amount of 3's and a bit more steals than Rashard. Plus I can start playing Ariza next week. I haven't been following Houston so far this season. You think Ariza will continue to keep up his game? When is T-Mac supposed to return? I'm tanking TO. Here's my team, H2H 9 cat:

Monta Ellis
Brandon Jennings
Caron Butler
Gerald Wallace
Rashard Lewis
Amare
Dirk
Chris Kaman
Marc Gasol
Troy Murphy

Ariza will be more of a stat-stuffer, but I'm afraid he wont give you the same amount of 3's, Lewis was the league leader for made 3's last year.

You think Rashard's stats will drop now that Carter is in town and Nelson back in the line up?

no way Ariza keeps up his current pace. Shard is still the better player and will give you those three triples a game. His boards will probally be lower now though

Not that much, even though Carter is better than Turkoglu. His stats will stay around the same.

Keep Lewis. You have him on your team and have had to deal with the suspension, trading him now for Ariza would be completely wasting your 4th round pick.

Lewis has much more value, you could probably get Ariza plus someone else if you really wanted to.

if you're tanking TOs and need a sf, action jackson sounds like your man.

of course, this depends totally on how things in golden state pan out, so watch him.

It sounds to me like you need assists more than anything else. I'd look into trading Murphy/Lewis for a PG. Those are the guys that 1.) get steals 2.) get threes 3.) get assists 4.) the downside is they rack up TOs. Which you don't care about.
