Is Roy Hibbert worth holding on to?

In perhaps what is the worst trade I've ever made, I gave up Jason Terry for Roy Hibbert, and since then I've been extremely dissatisfied with his play. I know Roy is a liabily against smaller, quicker line-ups, but is he generally worth holding on to?

Wow you traded the Jet for him... i was about to mortgage the farm for him too and am thankful as hell I didn't.... the answer to your question though is who's on your waiver wire... besides that IMO I think Hibbert has decent value...

I just can't bring myself to drop him. The thought of someone else scooping him off the wire once he starts producing again is just too painful. Shades of my giving up on Brook Lopez last December...ugh.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure I said as much.

The next 4 WEEKS the Pacers play teams with pretty traditional lineups / centers, if you're in a deep league I would keep the guy for a bit longer.

It remains to be seen whether or not Jeff Foster will remain the starter. For now it seems like it's a situational lineup change based on the fact that O'brien doesn't trust Hibbert against smaller quicker players.

Good point, NetsForce. I think I'll hold onto him for a bit longer. Considering you seem like a Nets fan, do you have any opinions on CDR? He's on my waiver wire.

Exactly what I thought when I had Hibbert. That he'd be like the Lopez steal of last year. I held onto him, but then got frustrated. I dropped him today, when I heard Philly offered Iverson a deal.

From a non-fantasy standpoint CDR has blown me away. From a fantasy basketball standpoint the one thing I would be a bit wary about is that Yi Jianlian may return to practice next week and it's being circulated that the team is trying to light a fire under Devin Harris' butt again so that he's more aggressive and plays more like he did last year (though he may still be working himself into shape from his ankle injury)...

So long story short in future months I would expect CDR's scoring numbers to drop, but for now he's firmly entrenched in the starting lineup and will be a good source of everything except BLKS and 3PTM.

I'm considering dropping him too. Tell me what you guys think.

My roster:

Devin Harris
Derrick Rose
Eric Gordon
JR Smith
Lebron James
Thaddeus Young
Danilo Gallinari
Andrea Bargnani
Brook Lopez
Joakim Noah
Greg Oden
Kevin Love
Roy Hibbert

Top ranked players available on the waiver wire (a lot of them injured): Tyrus Thomas, Barbosa, Nate, Rip, Prince, and Fernandez.

I like Tyrus more than Hibbert, He'll give you similar stats + a steal per game.

When's Tyrus due back? Should be within a week or two, right?
