Tyrus Thomas/Frye

Post#1 » by Commando 29 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 9:39 pm

I'm in a 12 man head to head league . . doing pretty well I'm 3rd only 2 games out of first . .

But recently Frye has been doing nothing with Lopez taking his spot (who I managed to grab  ), and Thomas I really expected more since I picked him up . . he had a good game last night (18, 9 a few blocks and steals) but thats his first decent game in a while . .

What should I do with these guys, hope Frye turns it around? Will Thomas bring his production back up?

Definitely hold Thomas until after the trade deadline. There is a high chance that Chicago makes some moves. If Thomas' playing time increases as a result to over 30mpg (be it with the Bulls or another team), you have a monster on your hands.

As for Frye, hold out for another week and see how it pans out. You could try offering him around the league if you wanted to get rid of him earlier.

Even without more minutes Tyrus is worth holding onto. Yes he's shot poorly this month but if we're going to put so much stock into that then let us not forget that for January he's averaging 1.7 spg and 1.5 bpg.

Realistically speaking the only reason to have Tyrus is for his steals and blocks, anything else he produces is gravy.
