Keeper trade... Good/Bad?

Currently in last place (due to injuries). 12 team league - 8 cat - Roto - Given up for this year. Looking to next season.

5 keepers per year.

Gerald Wallace
Andrew Bynum
Tyrus Thomas
Jameer Nelson
Luke Ridnour

for

Dwyane Wade
Spencer Hawes
Marreese Speights
Ilyasova
Casspi

Obviously I give up a ridiculous amount of value, but looking purely to increase my keeper value. Could not get any keeper assists.

My keepers are now:
D-Wade
Danny Granger
Yao Ming
Kevin Martin
Greg Oden/Michael Beasley/Raymond Felton

Previously:
Granger
G-Wallace
Yao Ming
Kev Martin
Andrew Bynum

Good? Bad? If I have Granger+Yao (will try to move Kmart), then FT% won't be a problem at all.

Thoughts?

I think Bynum will come good and be a top 30 player for years to come. My biggest regret. If Lakers don't win this year, they will trade him/Gasol for a PG.

I think Tyrus will become a monster after trade deadline.

Anyways, just a bit of post trade dissonance. I got Wade so I should be happy.

Wades value is bumped right up in an 8 cat league. Bynum would have been fun to keep, but it looks like you have sick enough keepers as it is. Good trade, love wade.

My problem with most of your keepers is that they're all a bit on the frail side. You do give up a ton of value but if you're planning for the future like you said you are it makes sense...

I'm sorry to say, but those are injuries waiting to happen :(

Yeah I know. I've always been a sucker for the value found in injury plagued players.

I picked up Yao in the last round of the draft (16th round - we just started the league this season), so I understood fully what I was getting myself into with him.

As for the others, I picked up Martin pretty cheaply at some point during his injured stint. Figured I'd wait for him to return/value increase, then get a more consistent player for him. That one backfired. Hopefully he comes good at some point, and I can trade him to a contender in need of FT%.
