Should I drop Hedo?

Post#1 » by CableKC » Wed Feb 3, 2010 4:50 pm

I'm in a standard 12-Team Yahoo H2H league. Hedo has been sucking it up for the entire frakkin season. Although he does help me with some 3pt shooting....that's about all he really does. The problem, I'd guess due to injuries, is that he's too inconsistent. He'd sit out a game here and there due to injury...then won't even show up on the Box Score for another....then a few games here and there...he'd explode with some huge Stat Stuffing Box score.

Do any of you think I should keep him or just pick up some waiver wonder that can fill his roster spot every other week?

I'm guessing that I'd be dropping/adding some Player every other week....but I'm likely to get more productivity from them especially if I need some boost for a game here or there.

For those of you that have stuck with Hedo....what are your thoughts?

Stick with him and let him ride out the season?

or

Do what the real-life Raptors can't do and simply drop him?

I recently picked him up after someone in my league dropped him. I figured his upside was greater than anything on the waiver wire, so I took a flyer on him. With that said, if you have options on waivers that are out-performing in a category you need, or you are in a tight playoff race and can't afford to wait on a guy, then it might make sense for you to cut him loose.

As a waiver pickup...he's worth the risk.....the problem is that I drafted him and has been as useless to me as he has been to the Raptors themselves.

I decided to drop Hedo in favor of Redick since the Magic have a good schedule for the next 2 weeks.
