This is in relation to Jorge Garbajosa's buyout. I read through Larry Coon's FAQ quite a bit last night looking for the answer to this. I think I understand how it counts against the cap, but I'm curious about the following:
- Can a bought-out contract be traded?
- Does a bought-out contract take up a roster spot for trade purposes or otherwise?
Can a bought out contract be traded?

No & No
Edit: It's actually unfortunate that they didn't wait a bit longer to cut Garbajosa, he could have been the filler to make the JO/TJ trade work right now. As it is you all will have to wait until July 9th, unless they can agree on using Parker or Kapono as the filler.

Yeah, I agree, but hindsight is 20/20 and all that.
