Best Salary websites

Post#1 » by theBigLip » Thu Apr 16, 2009 9:52 pm

I'm sure this has been asked before, and I seem to have lost my links, but what are the best sites for NBA salary information? ESPN just gives the current year salary. Need more info to be a RealGM :-)

The one I like is http://www.storytellerscontracts.info/r ... laries.htm

I just love the layout where I can see all the salaries on one page.

Yeah it has. It just has an hours downtime every night (almost always between 3.30/4.30am EST), and has done for three years. Such are the vagaries of really cheap hosting.

I use ShamSports; it's proven to be reliable and I like anagrams. Although I'd immediately change to a site that would allow me to check the salary situation of a team in the past: e.g. what was the Bucks payroll at the start of the 2006 season; what was the Spurs salary situation by the 2007 trade deadline, etc.

Put "/2007" or "/2008" into the URL and you may have your wish.

Do we know who runs this one? I like it as a backup to Sham's site.

As I recall its a guy who posts here a lot named SoCalBlazerFan or something close to that. He is the one who normally posts the running thread with all FA signings to try and get the numbers as close as possible.

In the page of Patricia Bender you can find the detailed salaries for every franchise in the last 23 years. It's not 100% sure but it's the best you'll find if you don't work in the IRS.

The IRS doesn't differentiate actual salary from cap salary. :-)
