Marko Jaric

Post#1 » by loserX » Tue Dec 22, 2009 10:18 pm

Sorry if this is an elementary question...

The wiretap is reporting that Marko Jaric has signed with a Spanish league team. Does this affect his contract status with the Grizzlies in any way? Or does he still count at his full salary amount unless he's officially bought out? Are the Grizzlies paying him for nothing right now?*

(*Yes, I know they've been paying him for nothing for a long time.)

He can't sign with Real Madrid unless he's waived by the Grizzlies. FIBA and the NBA abide by each other's contracts. The report that says he's signed for them is a tad presumptuous; he hasn't had a physical yet. He's agreed to terms, and it will happen, but he can't and won't be under contract to both.

I was wondering; that didn't make a lot of sense to me as written. Thanks for the confirmation, although I am a little miffed that I didn't get any Keira Kneightley pictures.

You're a legend, Sham. I'm totally going to start asking questions that I already know the answers to, just for the Keira payoff.

And since we are talking about Jaric, it's only appropriate that we include one of his wife Adriana Lima.

^Yep. I see the Griz saved a little money, too...not much. Is there a luckier man alive than Marko Jaric?

Yes. Tom Brady. His wife is both beautiful and rich. Plus he's got three super bowl rings.

^Yeah, but Brady had to WORK to get most of that stuff. Jaric has been getting paid a jillion dollars to watch games at courtside.

Also I like the way this thread is going.

Do we have confirmation on Vujacic / Sharapova? Seems Sasha doesn't work much for his 5 mill or Ring, either.
