I posted this on the Trades board, but in retrospect it's probably a better question for this one...
You see this term "future considerations" come up in trades occasionally. Can it be used for something like this?
A draft night trade of #17 from Chicago to Utah for future considerations. The future considerations are Kirk Hinrich for Paul Millsap. That portion of the trade can't occur on draft night because of Millsap's BYC status, but can be completed as of 1 July.
Thoughts?

Nope. All trades are consummated fully when submitted because of the cap rules that must be met. "Future considerations" will refer to future draft picks - sometimes with conditions or restrictions - that are being conveyed as part of the transaction.
