Eric Pincus of Hoopsworld reported that the Wolves were granted a Disabled Player Exception on January 27th for Malcolm Lee, however, news came out today that they also were also awarded a second injury roster exception (ESPN's Nick Borges), and they would need to cut someone (they currently have 16 on the roster - 4 on the inactive list) when this exception expires (beatwriter Jerry Zgoda).
Should I take from this that even though a DPE's function is to replace an injured player, it does not provide a roster spot to use the exception? I'd have assumed the disabled player would no longer count towards the 15 man roster limit.
