Stretching Boris Diaw
How much is guaranteed of Boris Diaw's 2016-17 $7 Million salary and 2017-18 $7.5 Million salary? If you were to stretch his contract this off-season, how much would it equal based on that?

For Diaw he is guaranteed $3 million in 16-17, fully guaranteed as of 6/30/16. 17-18 is fully non-guaranteed, fully guaranteed as of 7/15/17.
I don't think the Spurs would stretch the $3 million, unless they really, really had to. They'd just eat it whole and be done with it.
But if they waived him before 6/30 and stretched the $3 million, it would be $1 million per year. $3 million stretched over 3 years, so $1 million per year.
If they wait, they would have to stretch the full $7 million over 3 years. So, roughly $2.3 million a year. That is kind of why I think they just eat it. Unless they really, really need that $2 million dollars, just be done with it as quick as possible.
