I know in the case two teams tie, they combine lotto combinations of the two spots they are tied for, like 2-3...and do a coin flip to determine the order if neither team gets selected in the draw (and in the case there are an odd number of combinations to split, who gets the extra one).
But what happens other than splitting the combinations and distributing them equally if 3 or more teams are tied with the same record? A coin flip doesn't work in that scenario.

3-headed coin? Obviously there's no such thing, but there are ways to use some sort of random chance to break ties among more than 2 teams.

I guess rolling a dice (die?) would make sense....if you have 3, you assign each two numbers, and winner gets first, then you assign three numbers each (or flip a coin) to determine last.
If you have 4, assign 4 numbers, and if a number not assigned comes up, repeat, etc....that would work.

Still a coin flip. They pick the order out of a hat. Then do one flip for the first two. The winner then goes against the other team and they flip again. Add more flips if there are more than 3 teams tied.

So Team A wins coin flip against Team B
Team C then wins coin flip against Team A - Team C gets 1st of the 3
Team A then gets second since it already beat Team B?
So Team A wins coin flip against Team B
Team C then wins coin flip against Team A
Team C then wins coin flip against team D
Team D then does coin flip against Team A for 2nd place. It loses.
Then team D does coin flip against Team B for third?
Pretty crazy. So random. It will be absolutely crazy if 4-5 or more teams are tied. It seems awfully close.

Idea:
Maybe the NBA should determine a tiebreaker by having their eSports teams play a game or tournament (if there are multiple teams).
They'd have a monster kickoff/draw to the league if they did possibly once a year.
