How do trade kickers work in trades?

Eddy Curry has a 15% trade kicker this year. he makes $11,276,863 so...
$11,276,863 * 1.15 = $12,968,392
If he makes that much money with a trade kicker than why can't I trade him for Chris Paul in the realgm trade machine? (yeah I know that trade would never happen)
CP3 makes $14,940,152 so both of their salaries are with-in 25% of eachother. and i thought all player bonuses have to count against the cap. is the realgm machine working right or does it not count trade kickers?
