OT: Three things I would want to see in the new CBA

Totally OT at this point. Feel free to add what you want to have in the new CBA.
1) Shorter contracts with partial guarantees only:
Why? Should be obvious with many of these guys quitting after a big contract.
2) No trade clauses in every contract:
As much as people love to see so many trades, I think it is totally unfair to players. Take Felton for instance. He signed with NY a short contract hoping to prove himself. Could he get a bigger per year salary somewhere else? Probably not. Could he get a longer contract somewhere else? Absolutely. Now he is in Denver backing up a player team wants to hang on long term. He is not the only one. Miami tried hard this deadline to deal Mike Miller. This dude got a paycut to be there. Nate was traded after signing a two year deal with Boston. He did not even try the FA market to see he can do better.
3) Restricted Free Agency:
The most idiotic concept ever. Teams are afraid to make offers to these guys. Players can not get out of unwanted situations. On paper, you can sign that one year offer and stay, but it only creates an awkward situation where the team knows the player will leave. Sucks for all sides.

I think incentive laden contracts could be a boon for those guys coming back from injury, and teams willing to take a flyer on them.

Disagree about no trade clause in every contract...
You should have the option for a no trade in any contract (except maybe rookie deals) ... but that should come at a price.
Want a no trade clause Mr. MLE player? Ok fine, but were only giving you 3 years, not 5 type of thing, with some team options in there.

I agree, the trades aren't fair to the players! It doesn't matter how much they're making, money isn't everything. Players should have the right to choose where to play. Same for the draft ...
However, for the game, the league, perhaps even the fans ... it'd be bad. It's in the interest of the league for the teams to be able to trade players without approval/consent and/or draft them.

What good does a no-trade-clause do, if the contract is not guaranteed?

I did make the point of having shorter partially guaranteed contracts. I think those two go hand in hand. Shorter contracts would give flexibility to teams and no-trade clause makes the player be able to have stability.

I disagree on this. Trading players continuously reduces fan loyalty. It becomes really tough to root for any player (especially non-star players) as they get traded easily.

You have to have partial guarantees. Sure if a player does not want to go to a certain place, he should have the option to be free agent if the team wants to simply unload him. Works for both sides.

Trades are a part of sports and bring excitement to the fans. Players play for the league, and they are compensated very well so there is no need to feel sorry for anyone. Professional sports are for grown men not little mama's boys.
What I would like to see is:
1) Max contracts are not guaranteed. Only contracts up to three year with a salary 60% of max money should be guaranteed.
2) Have a hard cap at 70 million. I don't think big market teams should be punished because of small markets. Most poor teams come from poor management and not the fact big Market teams have more money.
