Hey everyone. I'm writing about the 1998-99 Lockout in the context of negotiation/mediation/arbitration. If you are familiar on the topic (or even want to tie it into the potential lockout next season), can you provide some suggestions as to how the 98-99 Lockout could have been prevented/more effectively negotiated? How could the Players Association and/or the Owners have "expanded the pie" or used different negotiation/mediation tactics to resolve/avoid the problems that caused the lockout?
