Time limit to re-trade a player??

Post#1 » by Brigante » Fri Aug 9, 2013 7:23 pm

In the off season Team A sends two players to Team B for two players in an aggregated salary trade. Team A decides a week later they want to trade one of the players they just aquired from Team B. Do they have to wait a certain amount of time before they can re-trade him or can they trade the player immediately?

I found the answer to my own question. I thought I had read of a time limit if salary was aggregated. Sorry for wasting anyone's time.

In addition, teams cannot trade players under the following circumstances:

For two months after receiving the player in trade, if the trade aggregates the player's salary with the salaries of other players. However, the team is free to trade the player immediately, either by himself or without aggregating his salary with other salaries. This restriction applies only to teams over the salary cap.
