Heard this a couple of places and no one seems to know for sure. Thought I would ask here before I did a bunch of digging.
Jimmy Butler was just given a Max QO. Prior to this (and maybe after, that is the question), his Qualifying Offer was just over 4.4 million. His Cap Hold was just over 5 million. Does these amounts remain? Or are they replaced with his Max amount, projected at 15.8 million.
Heard some disagreement on both podcasts and the radio today.

Re: Max Qualifying Offer Question
His free agent amount will be the amount of the Max QO. And to be nitpicking
a - no qualifying offer of a smaller amount was previously made to him (the two were made at the same time), and
b - his free agent amount was never a different number - it was only potentially expected to be a different number, as no free agent amount has yet been applied to CHI's team Salary. That doesn't happen until July 1.

Unlike some, I actually appreciate you being nitpicky. I do the same most often. I was trying to get the question posted as quick as good, thus the reason I wrote it the way I did.
Out of curiousity, do you have a source for the information on the Max QO? I am inclined to agree, but would love to read it for myself.
