I'm still unsure how Traded Player Exceptions work, but let's say the Knicks were to make the following deal:

Team X gets:
Jose Calderon
Langston Galloway
2017 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick
2019 Houston Rockets Second Round Draft Pick
2019 Cleveland Cavaliers Second Round Draft Pick

Knicks get:
???

If Knicks got no players in return for that deal, what would their TPE(s) look like?

They would get a TPE for Calderon's salary and a second TPE for Galloway's salary:
7,402,812 Calderon TPE
845,059 Galloway TPE

Obviously the TPE's could be rescinded.

Remember though, the TPEs can't be aggregated. Meaning you can't combine them to bring in a player who makes just more than $8 million. They can be broken up to bring in several players. They just can't be added together.
