This is a question I recently asked over on the GB but wasn't able to get a definitive answer.
Can anyone confirm whether likely bonuses are taken into consideration when calculating a player's cap hold? Larry Coon's FAQ doesn't seem to specify this matter, and it's too bad Mark Deeks removed his player salary page from his site.

They are. This is because the current year's salary is updated to reflect the addition, or removal, of likely, or unlikely, incentives.
Once you have that, the Cap Hold, in most cases, is simply a percentage added on to the current year's salary.
As to how the likely, or unlikely, incentives are handled, it is based on if it happened in the prior season or not. There are some circumstances where the player or team can challenge it by taking it to an expert to determine, but those are fairly rare.
